The academy leased a 13,500-square-foot office building on .68 acres at 6 Aerial Way in Syosset. The property was formerly occupied by Johnson Controls, a global conglomerate that specializes in fire, security and HVAC building systems.

The Syosset location will be Honey Academy’s first on Long Island and second overall, adding to its original 10,000-square-foot center at 41-62 Bowne St. in Flushing.

“Honey Academy decided to open a branch on Long Island because many of their current students’ families relocated to the area and still wish to continue participating in their programs,” a spokesman for the academy told LIBN. “This expansion aims to provide high-quality, trusted educational services to the Long Island community.”

Founded in August 2015, Honey Academy offers a range of programs for children, including dance, art, music, educational classes and daycare.

“The academy is dedicated to providing each child with a nurturing and stimulating environment, helping them develop both intellectually and emotionally,” the spokesman said. “Our educational mission is to cultivate and protect each child’s interests, ensuring that every child is happy and excels, with a rich soul and a noble heart.”

Daylan Bisram and Chip Entwistle of ACC Space represented the tenant, while Ray Haag of the Mogil Realty Group represented the landlord, Rocco Trotta, in the Syosset lease transaction.

“The space came on the market the same exact day we had our initial meeting with the tenant Honey Academy,” Entwistle said. “We only had a few spaces to show them that day that would make sense for that specific use. Approximately four months later we were able to execute a lease. Now they are in the process of preparing construction drawings. Glad we could help them find their first Long Island location.”

The Honey Academy spokesman said they hope to open the Syosset location as soon as possible and they expect it will be open by April 2025.
