Northwell Health-GoHealth Urgent Care has opened a 4,216-square-foot facility in East Northport, combining its East Northport pediatric center and Elwood center into one location to serve both children and adults.

The new center is located in the Elwood Center shopping plaza at 1950 East Jericho Turnpike next to Pet Supply Plus.

The newly opened East Northport center is Northwell Health-GoHealth’s third pediatric and adult urgent care center, bringing Northwell Health providers and Cohen Children’s-credentialed pediatricians together in one location. The pediatric center is also among the three Northwell Health-GoHealth locations that were the first in the nation to be presented with the “Autism Friendly Designation” by Autism Speaks.

“We are proud to offer the Northport community a single location that provides unparalleled convenience for adults and children alike who need expert, on-demand care for minor injuries or illnesses,” Dr. Neal Shipley, medical director for Northwell Health-GoHealth, said in a company statement.

Like all Northwell Health-GoHealth locations, the new center delivers care for non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries, provides on-site X-ray services, and offers COVID-19 testing. The pediatric center treats babies as young as 1-week old, children, teens and adults for non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries.

The new center is open 365 days a year, including holidays, from 8 a.m. to midnight, with pediatricians available from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
