Leech Circle, Glen Cove, NY 11542
If you’re new to the neighborhood, Glen Cove Dog Park is a great place to get to know other dog owners in the area, as they host regular social events for dogs and their humans. Part of Dennis Brian Murray Park, adjacent to a playground and includes separate, gated areas for large and small dogs, an agility course, and double-gated entries to keep your dog safe. - Gardiner County Park – Montauk Highway, Bay Shore, NY 11706
While the entire park is dog-friendly (as long as your dog is on a leash), Gardiner County Park also features a dedicated area for unleashed dogs. That area includes a 1.5-acre dog run, agility training course, and more. Plus, as long as you keep them on a leash, you can take them on hiking trails or along the beach. It’s a beautiful area that your dog will love. - Bay Park Dog Park – 198 1st Ave., East Rockaway, NY 11518
Open 8 a.m. to dusk throughout the year, Bay Park Dog Park features artificial K9 grass, specifically designed to cater to dog comfort and dog needs—including being repellant to fleas, ticks, and other pests. The park also features dog runs for small and large dogs and 6-foot fencing. The rest of Bay Park also has great amenities, such as fishing, boating, picnic areas, tennis courts, and a 9-hole golf course. - Cedar Point County Park – 5 Cedar Point Rd., East Hampton, NY 11937
Cedar Point County Park is over 600 beautiful acres. While not specifically a dog park, the park is definitely dog-friendly, as long as your furry friend stays on a leash and you clean up after them. There are trails to explore, as well as a campground with a dedicated area for dog walking. With a permit, you and your dog can visit the outer beach as well. There’s even a historic lighthouse! The area also has areas for picnicking, fishing, hunting, scuba diving, and more.
