JetBlue has announced a multi-year partnership with the New York Islanders and UBS Arena to become their Official Domestic Airline Partner.
“JetBlue is excited to lace up with the New York Islanders and UBS Arena for the ultimate New York power play as the Official Domestic Airline Partner,” Marty St. George, president of JetBlue, said in a company statement. “With new JetBlue service from Long Island MacArthur Airport (ISP) launching next month, we’re excited to become an even bigger part of the Long Island community, home of some of our most loyal customers.”
In June, JetBlue announced it will serve MacArthur Airport, beginning in October, offering flights to Orlando International Airport, Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and Palm Beach International Airport.
As part of the partnership, JetBlue’s TrueBlue and Mosaic members will get pre-sale access and special offers for select UBS Arena events and Islanders games. Mosaic members will also receive access to a designated priority lane at the main entrance of the UBS Arena.
In addition, the Northwest Terrace at UBS Arena will be renamed the TrueBlue Terrace by JetBlue, serving as an outdoor porch for TrueBlue members. UBS Arena’s event level will become the JetBlue Runway Level. The Spotlight Club on that level will be renamed the JetBlue Mosaic Lounge and the Spotlight Suites will be known as Mosaic Suites, according to the statement.
“JetBlue is one of the most iconic and innovative major U.S. airlines and we are grateful to have them partner with UBS Arena and the New York Islanders for a long time to come,” Dan Griffis, president of Global Partnerships at Oak View Group, one of the arena’s said in the statement. “JetBlue’s incredible commitment to unique, high-quality experiences and passion for the communities they serve is congruent to our mission and values. I am confident that Belmont Park will be a better place with them involved.”
To mark the new partnership, the UBS Arena lanterns, the Nassau County Executive and Legislative Building’s Dome will light up blue at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept 4. JetBlue will also celebrate the partnership with a new social content series and provide support for the Islanders’ Girls Hockey Program, including Girls Learn to Play, Girls Try Hockey for Free, and Girls Advanced Clinics, according to the statement.
