A Long Island home remodeling firm is expanding with the $10.688 million purchase of an Amityville industrial property.
13 Edison Holding LLC, an affiliate of Express Kitchen Bath & Stone, bought the 61,609-square-foot building on 2.56 acres at 13 Edison St.
The company, which has a showroom nearby at 500 Sunrise Highway, will use most of the new building as an additional storage and distribution facility. Express Kitchen also plans to lease about 25,000 square feet of the building, according to a broker on the deal.
The property was formerly owned and occupied by Berkeley Heights, N.J.-based Hikma Pharmaceuticals USA.
Express Kitchen, which serves customers from New York City to Montauk, is one of the largest granite, quartz and stone fabricators on Long Island. The company offers complete kitchen and bath cabinets and countertop installations as well as free design services.
Alberto Fiorini of Alliance Real Estate Corp. represented the buyer, while Phil D’Avanzo, Nicholas Gallipoli and Ryan Korzekwinski of Cushman & Wakefield represented the seller, Hikma Pharmaceuticals USA, in the sales transaction.
