Premier Care Industries, a manufacturer and supplier of wet wipes, is growing again with a new lease in Hauppauge.
The company leased 56,500 square feet of industrial space at 100 Marcus Blvd. which it will use as a warehouse and distribution facility.
Premier Care will now be occupying more than 150,000 square feet in Hauppauge. In 2016, the company purchased the 80,000-square-foot building at 150 Marcus Blvd. for about $7.7 million from Voxx International. It also has a 20,000-square-foot manufacturing facility at 100 Oser Ave. and a West Coast distribution facility in Montebello, Calif.
The firm was founded in Winnipeg, Canada in 1997, offering feminine hygiene products, including maxi pads and liners under the brand names Bodyform and Sanitex, and also manufactured store-brand maxipads for North American retailers. By 2005 the company relocated its manufacturing and distribution center to Asia. Around that time the company was sold, but its principal Ouri Neman kept the brand, and specialized in the private label market. Premier Care then relocated to Long Island, with assistance from the Suffolk County Industrial Development Agency. In 2010, the company added manufacturing to its mix, offering a wide variety of wet wipes.
With the Premier Care lease, the 151,000-square-foot building on 10 acres at 100 Marcus Blvd. is now fully occupied. Port Washington-based BEB Capital and its joint venture partner Rockpoint Group, purchased the property for $24.25 million in 2021.
“We’re excited to welcome Premier Care Industries into the BEB Capital portfolio and look forward to a long-term relationship,” Dan Penaro, BEB Capital Asset manager, said in a company statement.
Max Omstrom of JLL represented Premier Care, while he was joined by his JLL colleagues Doug Omstrom, Tom DiMicelli and Leslie Lanne in representing the landlord, BEB Capital in the Hauppauge lease.
