Listen to this articleOrthopedic Associates of Long Island (OALI) has signed a long-term lease extension for its offices in East Setauket.
The medical group renewed its lease for 24,409 square feet of office space in the Stony Brook Technology Center at 6 Technology Drive.
Founded more than 50 years ago, Orthopedic Associates of Long Island is a major provider of orthopedic care on Long Island. OALI has additional offices in Centereach, Commack, Patchogue, Riverhead, Southampton, Wading River and West Babylon.
The 1 million-square-foot office park dubbed Stony Brook Technology Center was developed by Tritec Real Estate. OALI has been a tenant at 6 Technology Drive since 2008 and hired Tritec to perform an extensive renovation of its offices there in 2012, which included the addition of an MRI suite. As part of OALI’s new lease agreement, Tritec Asset Management will undertake cosmetic renovations on behalf of the landlord, including new paint, flooring, and updates to the exam rooms, according to a company statement.
“OALI’s main clinical office and corporate headquarters located at 6 Technology Drive has been a staple for many communities throughout Suffolk County,” George Gmytrasiewicz, the orthopedic group’s executive director, said in the statement. “We value our relationship with Tritec Asset Management as they have allowed us to provide the infrastructure needed to care for our patients and their families over the past two decades.”

Maria Valanzano and Steve D’Orazio of Colliers represented the tenant, as well as the landlord, in the lease transaction.
