With renewed interest in vinyl continuing to grow, record albums have gone from nostalgic mementos to trendy must-haves. Our real estate agents will be observing National Record Store Day on Saturday, April 15 with a trip to these classic record stores on Long Island.

Dan Glasser, owner of the shop with his wife Tara, is known for his encyclopedic knowledge of music. Stray Vintage also features an ever-changing selection of secondhand furniture and home decor items, along with works from local artists. The retro record players they have almost qualify as works of art themselves. Hours are noon – 6 p.m. Thursday and Friday, noon – 7 p.m. Saturday, and noon – 6 p.m. Sunday. - Mr. Cheapo CD & Record Exchange – 134 Jericho Turnpike, Mineola, NY 11501

It’s probably not a coincidence that High Fidelity Records & CDs shares a name with a cult classic movie about a quirky record shop and its endearing staff. After serving the community near Amityville homes for sale since 2005, High Fidelity outgrew their old building and recently moved into a spot with double the space. Customers come back over and over, lured by the ever-present possibility of finding hidden treasures in the stacks or on the shelves. Hours are 10:30 a.m. – 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10:30 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. Friday, 10:30 a.m. – 6 p.m. Saturday, and 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. Sunday. - Record Reserve – 680 E. Jericho Trnpk., Huntington Station, NY 11746
